About HiSiriCommands
Last updated: 4 September 2026
HiSiriCommands is an independent reference for Siri commands on iPhone and Mac. It exists because Apple’s own documentation is spread across dozens of pages, and most command lists online are years out of date, untagged by device, or padded with commands that quietly stopped working.
What this site is
One page that lists what you can actually say to Siri, grouped by the task you are trying to finish rather than by the app it happens to live in. Every command is labelled with the devices it works on, because a good number of them work on only one.
How the list is built
- Commands are drawn from Apple’s current iPhone and Mac user guides, Apple Newsroom announcements, and established technical publications.
- Each entry is written as a working pattern, not an exact string. Siri parses natural language, so the wording here is a reliable way to phrase a request rather than the only way.
- Entries are re-checked against each major iOS and macOS release. The list currently reflects iOS 26 and macOS 26.
What we cannot promise
Siri’s behaviour varies with device model, operating system version, language, country and the permissions you have granted. A command that works on a current iPhone in English may behave differently, or not at all, elsewhere. Treat everything here as guidance, not a guarantee.
Corrections
If a command has stopped working, behaves differently on your device, or is missing altogether, tell us and it will be checked. Accuracy matters more here than length — a list padded with commands that no longer work is worse than a shorter honest one.
Independence
This site is not affiliated with Apple Inc. and receives nothing from Apple. It is funded by advertising, which has no influence over what appears in the command lists.
